Wellness programs focus on providing wellness programming through
various group activities (i.e. Yoga & Wine) with a professional instructor.

These sessions focus on enhancing business acumen with experts, panel
discussions, and participation in round-table discussions. Practice tools
centered on topic-specific facets of the design practice. 2-3 per year.

Behind the scene opportunities to observe construction sites, and share
unique project design and construction insights. Led by AIA members of the
project team, including architects, contractors and often the owners. 4-6 per year.

Coffee with Fellows is a bi-monthly series centered around a conversation
between one Fellow and one emerging professional, interviewing each
other. The podcast-like format allows for the inviting conversation to be live,
recorded, and archived as a library of multigenerational design professionals.

Focuses on leadership skills development for personal and career
advancement through interactive workshops.

These lectures provide an opportunity to recognize design excellence of
local AIA Cleveland members. Discussions explore design ideas that expand
professional relevant and address topics currently impacting the profession.

Provide a great opportunity for members to network with likeminded
professionals and “sister” organizations within our Cleveland design
community. These events strive to strengthen relationships and create
meaningful connections within the design community. 2-3 per year.

Our sketch workshops empower young minds to explore the fascinating world
of architecture through hands-on sketching, model making and innovative
thinking. Through engaging activities and mentorship, we foster a sense of
curiosity, encouraging participants to shape their visions into reality, one
sketch at a time. We strive to create a supportive community where students
can connect, collaborate and inspire each other on their artistic journey. 4-6 per year.

The Mentorship Speed Dating event is exactly how it sounds - emerging and
established professionals meeting each other in rapid succession, hoping
to find a “spark” of connection. This event offers a low-pressure (if slightly
awkward!) atmosphere for pairings in a structured environment

A YAAM Committee tradition, the Dragon Boat outing allows attendees a
chance to work together to paddle along the Cuyahoga River and see the
city from a different perspective. Partnering with the Cleveland Dragon Boat
Association, this event always leaves everyone smiling.

This spooky counterpart to the traditional AIA Trivia Night, features questions
about haunted architecture, urban legends, and the often dreaded ARE.
Firms from all over the city come to compete for bragging rights and prizes.

This event pulls back the curtain on the mysterious Architect Registration
Examination and allows attendees to get advice from their recently licensed
counterparts. Set up as a panel discussion, this event is attended by new
architects, emerging professionals, and students.

The YAAM & KSU Meet & Greet is a chance for the Young Architects and
Associate Members to connect with KSU students. These events offer
students the chance to connect with professionals and talk about their career
development.

The YAAM Happy Hours are networking opportunities for Young Architects
and Associate Members to connect with one another and other members of
the Design community.
