This hard hat tour will explore the attention paid by the design team to address the patient experience and care, including the use of natural lighting, integration of green space, inclusive design, patient centered design, as well as quality care through the the implementation of evidence-based practices, conducting regular quality assessments, meeting with users, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines to provide high quality care that exceeds industry standards. It will highlight the relationship of an IPD construction team and the benefit of utilizating of the strengths of all parties, mockups, and other quality control measures to facilitate a successful desing to construction transition.
The project includes future Cole Eye Expansion and Renovation is designed to foster collaboration and teamwork and expands upon the ophthalmological services present at the Cleveland Clinic. The project includes the construction of the 150,000-square-foot Jeffrey and Patricia Cole Building at Cole Eye Institute, and renovation of the existing Cole Eye Institute building constructed in 1999. The two buildings will be connected to create an integrated eye center designed to deliver an outstanding patient experience, as well as leading edge eye care, research and education.
